Hey there.

So I guess this is the innagural blog post, and the "what the heck is this place" post to pin to the home page. If you're here, welcome to this little corner of my life. I plan to use this place write things that I hope others will read some day. To document the process of writing and self-publishing my first novel, and maybe some old writing projects. And probably to document some of my many other ADHD-driven hobbies. Kind of a catch-all space for my brain.

As mentioned above, I'll be self-publishing my first novel, Feeblebunny and the 24 Keys some time in the next year. It's a middle-grade sci-fi adventure with some elements of fantasy, horror, and humor. Mostly, that's all window dressing for what I hope will be an emotionally rich story that deals with grief, generational trauma, chosen family, forgiveness, diversity, and love. I hope it responates with the kids—and parents—who read it.

I'm planning to post more content as I learn my way through the self-publishing labrynth. I harbor no false illusions, here. I know the self-publishing world is oversaturated. I know my chances of being a "successful" author are slim, and that's fine. This is something I am doing for myself—and for my kids, for whom this book was originally written. I hate the term "bucket list," but if I had to make one, publishing a book would be right at the top.
